I tell you one thing. Joe Zawinul was glad to end that song. And Shorter... More than anything..... It's a bit like with the Beatles.... They wanted to get away from WEATHER REEPORT. It took the musicians away from the music.

In my opinion they take this too fast. As a result a beautifully crafted, complex piece becomes incoherent. The studio version with Pastorius and Erskine is much more settled.

Jim gosa chuck Niles Lawrence tantor were absolute legends hearing this is like listening to vin scully say pull up a chair. I don’t think we will ever appreciate the quality of talent we witnessed year after year . Great memories

Wow, I used to listen to KMET............The Mighty Met! What great time. Met Jim Ladd at the House of Blues in West Hollywood and out at the California Speedway for the Doors concert in 2003. Great DJ! Right up there with the likes of The Grease Man, Alice Cooper, and Wolfman Jack! I have this "Innerview" on cassette.
